Audio-Technica BPHS1 Broadcast Series Broadcast Stereo Headset : Best for Professionals

Very good headset for commentators, find that it is my go to mic for freelance work thanks to it’s sound proof headphones and good microphone. However i do have to bring a warning to glasses wearers, as i find that the headset causes strain after a while of continuous use, so take regular breaks or seek an alternative.

Top notch mic but the headphones are uncomfortable, very uncomfortable, the mic is brilliant and what i wanted but i can hardly where the headphones for more than 30 mins without them hurting my ears, such a shame,.

Probably the most professional headset for the price. The headphones are actually the audio technica mx30 which makes them very nice to wear. Good head brace and very flexible microphone. Very long cable which can be detached by physically unscrewing a bolt on the headphone (which make it very secure) however this makes it very heavy too. The headphone has a phono jack at the other end, the microphone has a male xlr. Overall, a very professional setup that works well with a sound mixer for interviews or live commentary.

I have owned these for almost 2 years now and i feel i can give a reasonably detailed review on them. First of all i would recommend getting an audio interface/mixer interface in order to get the best overall sound quality out of this headset since the microphone uses an xlr connection and the headphones use a 1/4″ connection. I have been using this headset for live streaming to twitch for the most part but it can work well in a pinch for voice over work and commentary. The microphone is extremely well detailed for a headset mic and overall leaves a lot of potential headroom if you wish to process the audio, although it’s not entirely necessary to do so. The headphones themselves aren’t the best but they do give clear audio that is at the standard you would expect from audio technica. The main issue with this headset is the comfort (or lack of). Wearing this headset for more than an hour will start to cause some discomfort but this issue can be fixed. I will split all the pros and cons that i can think of and list them below. Pros:- great microphone quality (especially for a headset) and can be used for a number of applications- good headphone quality (clear and crisp but slightly too muddy on the lower frequencies)- construction is solid (built very well and from high quality materials)- overall great price for the performance of the headsetcons:- becomes extremely uncomfortable after wearing for extended periods of time- cable becomes tangled up pretty easily and can be a pain to straighten outoverall i would say this headset is great for the price and it will last a very long time if looked after (as all equipment should be). The issue with comfort can be fixed as i stated earlier by simply purchasing some new ear pads.

Great pair of headphones, great microphone my biggest moan about this headset is the cable and mic are on the same side so it feel left side heavy and feels like its going to fall of your head.

Really good, once i got it set up i could tell the difference in audio quality and even in skype my brother said the audio quality was a lot better. I bought it with the behringer 302usb xenyx 5 input mixer and i did needed to get a jack converter for £3 though but that was easy enough to find at my local music shopin summery it was very functional and does what i want it to do.

Great quality headset with an excellent microphone – ideal if you’re starting out as a content creator. The cable is about 3 meters so no issues there however it does become quite tangled. Comfort wise they are great if your using them for about 2-4 hours a day. Myself being lonely i use them a lot more than that which does cause some irritation(most noticeably to my right ear and not my left one. Overall the headset is excellent for someone creating content with an excellent mic which is low noise.

Very happy with my purchase.

I expected it to be a little better quality for the price paid but overall it does the job.

Not only as a kickass microphone for podcasting and gaming, but also as a great sounding pair of headphones. Works perfectly fine with the premium 5 input 2 bus mixer with xenyx mic preamp/compressor/british eq and usb/audio interface and a windows 10 pc. Previously used the logitech g35 headset along with the blue yeti microphone and i am more than happy that i made the switch, even though the price-tag is a little steeper :).
