This October is in fact Breast Cancer Awareness Month and worldwide you tend to see all sorts of promotions – all of which are, well, pink! Now, I’m a sucker when it comes to a pretty looking beauty box, but I’m an even bigger sucker when it comes to beauty boxes that are actually filled with full-sized or deluxe minis from big brands such as: Bobbi Brown, Glamglow, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Smashbox, Origins and even Bumble & Bumble. Why them?
Well my friends, these seven brands are in fact all featured in this year’s Breast Cancer Campaign Beauty Box by Estee Lauder Companies, and all for a reasonable price tag of £25. Seem a little steep for a beauty box, when some simply come in at around £10-£15? Well, considering £15 of each box sold goes to the charity, I think it’s pretty damn worth it! Now, let’s get on to the contents…
Chubby Stick by Clinique, 07 Super Strawberry
I love, love, love the Chubby Sticks by Clinique. I remember when I use to have around 3 or 4 of the mini ones as a set, each of which I kept in the same handbag – because a girl can’t have enough Chubby Sticks, can she? The best part is, this is a full-sized one too, so the box is almost worth its price tag already!
Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara, Jet Black
I do love me a good mascara! Smashbox was featured in last year’s Breast Cancer Campaign Beauty Box too, but this time in the form of a deluxe mini mascara, as opposed to last year’s amazing primer.
Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Foam Cleanser / Purifying Mask
Got to have me some good skincare! I’m currently running low on cleansers, so this has definitely been welcomed with open arms. I need to get me a strong skincare regime put together, as I’ve definitely slacked over the last two months – #lazy – but this will definitely encourage me to get the ball rolling again. Also, the generous 30ml bottle will last me for some time!
Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base
Other than for beauty boxes, I’m also a sucker for miniature bits of makeup – mini lipsticks like the one in the QVC Tili Box last month, mini mascaras, but then this mini tub of goodness by Bobbi Brown. This is a brand I’m slowly beginning to love this month, as I recently got the Instant Glam Set and Mini Lipgloss Set by Bobbi Brown, and I’m already wearing one of the lipgloss’ and the mascara, daily. Now when it says Face Base, I did initially think a primer – however I’m now under the impression this is almost like a skincare primer you tag team with your favourite moisturiser!
Clinique All About Eyes
Eye creams have never been something I’ve really got into, and not because I want to, but because I wouldn’t even know where to begin. I have dark circles – check. I have puffy bags under my eyes – check. But my eyes also get easily irritated, the skin in the inner corners gets incredibly dry and I just would not know which product to try out first. So, this one has definitely come at a nice time for me and I can’t wait to try it out.
Origins Retexturizing mask with Rose Clay
The moment this mentioned clay in the name, I instantly smiled with joy – I do love me a good clay skincare product. I currently use the Sukin Clay Mask every Wednesday night (don’t ask, ‘why Wednesdays’, because even I don’t know why that became a thing), but sometimes my skin just becomes so use to products, that I need to switch it up once in a while.
Bumble & Bumble Pret-a-Powder
So let me get this straight. Not only is this little bottle of joy a dry shampoo, it’s also a styling product, and then a volume enhancer for your hair? Yes please. I used to have the Batiste powder which you sprinkled on to your roots underneath layers, and it would last all day – you simply scrunched your hair at the roots a little, and boom. Hello volume. So, I’m definitely looking forward to giving this a go.
Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment
Is this yet another mask product? Glamglow has definitely been on my radar for a while of brands to try out, more so for the super vibrant Sonic blue mask, but at this point, I’m excited to try anything by the brand.
