After a temporary departure from monthly subscription boxes, I’ve now got my hands on the March edition of Glossybox. I’ve subscribed to Glossybox before, but in all honesty, I didn’t think you got the most for your money. Although £10 per month doesn’t seem as steep as other monthly beauty boxes out there (Cohorted, LookFantastic and even Latest in Beauty), you still expect to receive some exciting goodies through the post to try.
Instead, it always seemed to be the same old products or brands, which were often just those they may have had bulk of and needed to get rid. But, having said all that, it’s been two years since I last subscribed, and this time around, I’m pretty chuffed!Mudmasky Sleep Repair Renewal Nourishing Mask
I’m willing to give every face mask a try, with the hope it’ll solve all my skin issues. Unfortunately, I haven’t come across one that is a miracle worker just yet…so here’s hoping Mudmasky does the job. It’s aimed at refreshing skin, reducing dark circles and making you appear less tired and dull – perfect for this Tuesday after 4 days off work that haven’t exactly felt relaxing.
Oryza Beauty Warm Nude Lipstick
This is a beautiful, matte nude lipstick in sleek and minimalist packaging – it’s just a shame nude lipsticks are not for me. It’s been a while since I last wore lipstick, but nudes are definitely not one for me. However, the formula seems nourishing and velvety, so I’d be keen to see what other shades are available.
Figs & Rouge Soft Focus Pore Perfect HD+ Primer
This is my favourite product from this month’s Glossybox! I enjoy using primers that actually blur pores and create a smooth base for your foundation or BB cream, but I find it difficult to come across a primer that tick all these boxes. Having said that, this one certainly does the job from my first week of using it. It’s moisturising, soothing and smells amazing! Plus, it minimises the appearance of my pores which is a big deal for me!
Dr. Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil
Facial oils are hit and miss, but if you’re on the look out for one to try, then this month’s Glossybox may be worth a shot. It’s a full-sized product with a simple-to-use applicator. I don’t get on well with facial oils unfortunately, but I’m hoping my little sister will enjoy it!
Makeupdrop Silicone Makeup Applicator
At one point, silicone makeup applicators were a craze and I got sucked into it instantly. But once trying one, I now know they’re not for me. I don’t find them useful for applying my base products, but for those who are looking to try one, here’s your chance!
I will admit, having tried Glossybox again. I’d be more open to keeping a subscription with them!
