Another month, another beauty box. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, beauty boxes are one of the most exciting things to receive through the post! But with so many out there, it’s hard to choose which one is the best value for money. Today I’m going to talk you through what’s in November’s edition of the Lookfantastic Beauty Box subscription and even share what I’ve received in the past via my 12-month subscription. Then you can see for yourself whether it’s worth the money or not. Let’s get started.
This month for the November edition, we’ve got the theme Ready, Set, Glam. Inside you’ll find five products, alongside a copy of Elle Magazine which Lookfantastic offer each month. Getting ready for a night out is definitely on the cards when it comes to the contents of this month’s beauty box, so if sparkling glow and daring lips on your kind of thing, you may want to grab this one while it’s still available.
Murad Essential-C Day Moisturiser SPF 30
Bellapierre Cosmetics Kiss Proof Lip Creme
Filorga Time-Filler Absolute Wrinkles Correction Cream
Pixi by Petra Glow Booster in Pink Pearl
Teeez Spectrum of Stars Eyeshadow in Sea Glare
This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
Above is the contents of this month’s Lookfantastic Beauty Box, but here’s a look at what I got in October 2016 too. As you can see, I received the same product by Murad, a couple other skincare products, but also a Laura Geller lip liner. Each box varies month to month, and you’ll definitely be guaranteed to come across something new to try – whether that’s a new brand, shade of product, or product itself. Just like many other monthly subscription boxes out there, Lookfantastic offer various tiers, offering you different discounts. Here’s a break down and my thoughts on what’s worth paying out for down to my own experience.
1 Month Rolling Contract = £15 per month
With this one you’ll receive one beauty box for one month for £15, including postage. This is a rolling monthly contract, which means you can cancel at any time. However, do bare in mind there’ll be cut-off dates for when you’re next charged, so enquire about cancelling if you’re considering doing so. Is it worth doing this? Personally, if you’re looking to try it out to see if it’s worth it, then absolutely. It may be a little more pricey than the likes of Birchbox, Glossybox or Love Me Beauty, but you do also get a nice copy of Elle Magazine which can usually set you back by £2-3.

3 Month Subscription = £14.50 per month
It doesn’t sound a lot, but by signing up for 3 months, you’ll receive a discount of £1.50 in total (50p per box). However, I much prefer Lookfantastic when it comes to taking advantage of bulk subscription discounts, because they let you continue to pay monthly. However, the only rule is that you are stuck in a contract with them until the subscription duration is over – else you pay the remainder to leave early. For example: signing up to the 3-month subscription means you pay £14.50 per month for three months. If you wish to cancel after your first month, you’ll be asked to pay the remainder of £29 for the next two months.

6 Month Subscription = £13.75 per month
Again, by buying the 6 month subscription, you’ll be making a nice little saving – this time of £7.50 (£1.25 per box). It’s a longer contract, therefore you need to be aware that leaving early may cause bigger charges, but this is all down to the discretion of the company themselves.

12 Month Subscription = £13 per month
This is the subscription I bought last year. From January-December 2016, I received a Lookfanastic beauty box each month at a discounted price, due to the fact that I signed into a 12-month contract. Is it worth it? Well, for a saving of £24 (£2 per month) and knowing I liked the box from my first one-off box I did for £15 from the beginning, I’d say it is. Yes there were times throughout when I was suddenly relocating where I thought, “It’d be nice not to have to pay £13 this month”, but it’s a nice little treat for yourself!
