I confirmed the temperature with another thermometer. Easy to see minimum water level required. So far only used for 1 -2 hour sous vide cooking and it worked perfectly.

The touch buttons take a moment to respond. Just finished a 24 hour cook of beef brisket.

I bought this as sous vide as i am trying to go on a diet and heard it uses less fat and so far, i use less fat, oil and salt but keeps more vitamins and nutrients which is great. This machine is easy to use and keeps a constant temperature. Cooked the best steak ever – very moist and tasty. Will be experimenting more over the next few weeksit connects to my cooker perfectly so totally easy to use but also stands in the middle of my pan – totally hands free.

Been looking for one for a long time. Unfortunately they are very expensive and wasn’t sure if i want to spend that much for my first sous vide. Have used it to cook xmas day beef and done a 12h pork as well. In another words stop looking and buy this one, your search is over 😁.

Really elegant, attractive piece of kit. It attaches very firmly to a large pot and stays securely in place when in use. The controls are very easy to set, gives a audible signal as you make the settings. Allows you to watch the temperature of the water as it heats and once at the selected temperature toggles between temperature and cooking time. The water circulation is very gentle. I am new to sous videing but have had successful results with steak and pork chops after doing the reading around the thickness of the meat as opposed to the weight.

Got this for cooking steaks and they come out perfect. Just put them on a hot griddle or pan to finish them off. . I’ve also cooked chicken, eggs and poached fruits which have all come out spot on. Does as it should and the build quality seems good really cant fault this product.

1.Bag It

Once your meat is good and seasoned, slide it into either a food-grade vacuum sealing bag (the gold standard, and what most restaurants use) or a sturdy resealable freezer bag. At this point you can add any larger aromatics—sprigs of hardy herbs like rosemary or thyme, bay leaves, whole dried chiles.

2.Set Your Temperature, Set Your Time, Start Cooking

Time to get cooking! Fill a big pot with water, set your sous vide machine up in it according to the device’s specifications, and set the desired time and temperature based on what you’re cooking, but when we’re working with jerry-rigged freezer bags, we like to use a binder clip or clothes pin to secure them to the edge of the pot, seal-side up—a little extra insurance that the seal won’t break.

3.Rest, Dry, and Sear (If You Need to)

Once your steak/chicken/salmon/whatever is cooked to the desired temperature, take it out and let it rest, in the bag, for 15 to 20 minutes, remove the meat from the bag, dry it off as thoroughly as possible with paper towels, and sear it off on all sides in a ripping-hot pan until a beautiful, crackling crust forms—since the meat is already fully cooked, this should only take a minute or two on each side.

Have only used it a couple of times so far but have had no issue whatsoever. Make sure it is immerged before you turn it on though, to avoid the bipping sound.

I received the product in 2 days and put it to use immediately cooking wagyu rib eye. It was delicious, and the sous vide cooker worked flawlessly. It kept the perfect temperature and cleaned up easily. I was drawn to this cooker because it wasn’t overly laden with superfluous gadgets like wi-fi or bluetooth.

A good budget friendly entry into the world of sous vide. I have tested the temperatures against a temperature probe and found it accurate and consistent, which is all it has to be, build quality is good for the price, touch controls can be a bit frustrating but straight forward, noise level is no more than a quiet hum. My results so far have been impressive, a well set yoghurt in five hours, tender and moist brisket after forty-eight hours, so i can easily recommend this to anyone who wants to try their hand at sous vide cooking.
