NESCAFÉ Krups Nescafe Dolce Gusto Drop Touch Coffee Machine – : Expensive but a great machine.

I must admit, i am a bit of a coffee fan, and probably have every kind of coffee making machine and gadget going. I also have the baby brother of this machine. The piccolo, so am well used to how the dolche gusto process works. The krups drop is quite a stylish machine and seems to be well constructed from quality plastics. Unlike my piccolo, the drop has more automatic control, and takes the guess work out of constructing your favourite brew, especially if it is one of the 2 pod varieties. The water reservoir is adequate at 800ml, and is enough for up to 4 of the larger portions. Less, if you want a big mug full. (my wife will put the machine on for an additional 2 bars to fill her cup). The drop takes about 30 seconds to get to temperature, and once you have selected how much water you want in your brew using the touch control on the top of the machine, all you need to do is pop in your favourite pod and press either the red or blue button to start. The drip stand can be positioned at one of 3 heights to suit the drink being prepared, and you can remove it completely as well, which is perfect for filling my coffee flask for the car.

Great, use little time to mark a perfect coffee in the morning.

Thank you for delivering the package quickly. Very excellent power machinery👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.

So the first one i bought did not have a drip tray in it. Amazon promptly reordered another machine and arranged for a collection of the faulty one from my home. Simply put, it makes hot coffee and the milk is frothy for those that are quite particular about it. Its automatic – you can select the amount of milk & coffee you want to make out of the pods although the pods come with the recommended amount. Instruction manual is pretty useless but its straightforward and you don’t really need it apart from doing the initial set up.

Easy====this is a lovely looking coffee maker that takes the dolce gusto pods that are available here on amazon or in the major supermarkets. Starter pack============it comes with 6 pods so you can try them out before committing to a range. Espresso========i love a good espresso. I’ve previously owned a francis francis.X1 ground coffee machine, orange and this makes a better espresso. Well made=========not only does it look good in real life it’s exceptionally well made and solid. It won’t look out of place on a top end kitchen work-surface. Impressed=========i am so impressed and very happy with the quality of coffee this machine delivers. It’s almost a blink of an eye.

War of the worlds meets pixar. If you want your kitchen gadgets to look cool, then this coffee maker looks the part. Nice matte metalic red base and shiny black upper parts. Pros:stylishsturdy & well madeeasy to cleaneasy to dispose of the pods without touching themexcellent customer service: uk 0800 7076066, roi 00800 63785385cons:flavours not greatlargest serving is only a small mug fullgetting started:as with most modern appliances, you only get picture instructions, which are a bit limited, making setup and use more confusing than it need’s to be at first. The water reservoir, pod holder and drip tray all slot in and out easily. There is a window in the reservoir so that you can check how much water is left, but it’s not easy to see in low light levels. A used pod bin is included, so if you are too lazy to drop the pods straight in the kitchen bin, you can leave them to mount up in this dinky little bin, thus adding another unnecessary thing that needs to be cleaned by the housework fairy. There are 3 controls on top of the machine near the dolce gusto logo, which only appear when the machine is on and ready to go:-1. A central ladder of green lights which you swipe up or down to select the amount of water to be dispensed 1-7. Each pod has the amount of water required to use it shown on the top 1 – 72.

This is a beautiful, powerful machine that gives a bloody nice cup of coffee. It’s faster than my russell hobbs brew and go, and it’s biggest bonus is that the drinks that come out of it are truly hot (as in you need to add cold water, or give them a moment to cool down before sipping) as opposed to almost hot. It really makes a difference. I had it up and running minutes after deboxing it, which is amazing and surprising because i’m allergic to instruction manuals and this thing looks a bit frighteningly space-age. However it’s a real poppet, easy to load the pods (it even comes with some free so you can try it fresh out of the packaging with extra purchases) and generally user friendly. It looks nice and sleek in the kitchen besides the microwave and really brightens up the room with its red vivacity. It’s also not as loud as the brew and govery happy to recommend, my only complaint is that i thought given the size of the pods/capsules the drinks it produced would be a bit more generous, however it’s still great for a small/medium cup and you shouldn’t be disappointed as long as you aren’t expecting the starbucks american style bucket-sized drinks.

This is a really nice machine, easy to use and compact. However, some of the portions are very small, particularly the chococini which only gives you half a cup. I’m sure most people prefer a nice big mug of hot chocolate so it’s a disappointing aspect of what otherwise is a good product.

  • Excellent! I had a tassimo machine before
  • Eye catching, simple and fun to use
  • Makes good coffee but prefer the original design of unit.

    2. Use the recommendation on the pod or select the volume you desire by touching the volume selector

    3. Select hot or cold using the touch button

Hey presto, your coffee, your way every time.

The machines need virtually no cleaning, however a wipe down of the machine and rinse of the capsule holder every few weeks is recommended.

Descaling is easy with the Nescafé Dolce Gusto Descaler kit. Use your descaler every 3-4 months or 900 uses, to keep your machine working at its best.

What Makes the Pods So Smart?

Inside every pod Nescafé uses carefully selected ingredients and then integrate their smart pod technology. Different drinks need different amounts of pressure to release their full flavour. For example, an espresso needs high pressure to release that delicious coffee aroma and taste but milk needs less. So the clever little pods are designed to give the correct amount of pressure for whichever drink you choose.

Love this machine so much i put my tassimo away in the cupboard.

Well i’ve had other coffee machines in the past, but never one that looks like it comes from the bridge of the starship enterprise. So, all well and good on the looks front, but does it do the important thing. It’s better at espresso than anything else, it can have a shot ready on under 20 seconds, it’s easy to use, and even easier to keep clean. As with all these machines, though, you really, really have to like your coffee, because it’s an expensive thing to keep running, with a pack of replacement pods coming in at about a tenner. And a point is deducted for only including a starter pack of 6 pods. For £150 quid, i would expect a bit more. That aside, this is a serious machine for serious coffee lovers.

A sexy looking machine and makes good coffee too. The one minor issue i have is it vibrates as the coffee is produced so you have to hold onto the cup or it could fall off.

Third dolce gusto machine and best yet. The previous model was easy to dislodge the water container and flood the worktop. That doesn’t happen with this one plus i like the touch control.

I love this coffee maker, my last one was a piccolo, which i bought 6 years ago. And its needle pushing mechanism failed a few days ago. There are cheaper alternatives to this coffee machine that will do equally as good job. But here you are paying premium for the design. Let me tell you, the design is amazing (by my understanding). Simple, elegant and feels like a 21st century product in my kitchen. As there is nothing manual to do, like my previous one, switch for pouring water, needle push, etc. I expect it to last me at least another 6 years.

    Makes quick and delicious coffee.

Brill love it use daily well packed fast delivery.

Works great and looks great too.

Krups Nescafe Dolce Gusto Drop Touch Coffee Machine – Silver

Time for an upgrade, hope it’s as good as the last one. Now i don’t have to stand on guard waiting for it.

Just wish it held more water. Like that it stops on its own.

Beautiful design looks great in my kitchen.

This unusually styled machine is not as user friendly as the original design. It has a smaller water reservoir and the used pod container stands independently from the unit, as there is no space to accommodate it within the machine. Finally the machine can not be left alone when in use as it vibrates and has so far broken two cups that have danced their way off the cup platform and onto the floor. Coffee and hot chocolate still good.

Noisy clicking when turning on. Had several machines in past and given to family, also have mini me and piccolo. Love the touch control but not sure of the noisy clicking when turning on this particular machine. A response from krups would be appreciated. I think de longhi machines are better.

This is, by a mile, the best coffee/hot beverage machine i have used. Filter coffee machines have come and gone over the years but it seems as though pods are the future. It’s so much easier to just pop in a pod rather than bother with ground coffee and filters. I have not seen any better looking machine and it’s such a conversation starter in our office – and then comes the taste. The dolce gusto cappuccino is a wonderful drink and doesn’t need any sugar or extra milk. Amazingly it’s all in the two pods. We have tried a lot of the other flavours and none of them are bad. There seem to be quite a few other krups dolce gusto machines to choose from but, with the power bar and sheer good looks, this would be my favourite.

Couldn’t live without my dolce gusto. . Wanted to replace my 4 year old machine (which has gone to another home where it is much loved) so chose this new model. Arrived perfect and is amazing. A perfect coffee every time.

I dont know whether it is my own problem or not, but the coffee machine have difficulty to recognise my finger and i cannot set the water level at ‘3’. However it looked really stylish and i like how the touch panel looks. The water tanks is a bit small tho.

Makes a lovely cuppa ==== latte and mocha are my fav’s atm. . Not helping my moobs though.

Looks amazing puts smile on my face everyone i use it. Great if you put it on a little platform/stand with pod draw underneath. Been running great for 6 months so far. Water chamber small will get 1 to 2 cups or 1 mug. Will need to use either more water or more pods to make large mug of cofree not sure if all brands produce little coffees. Pods availability in uk seems limited in smaller metro style supermarkets and m&s to cappuccino & latte do see hot chocolate now and again, bigger superstores have wider variety of pods.

Coffee machine is excellent ، thanks.

Bought for my mum and she’s now got a serious coffee habit, having used it every day since christmas. It’s red all right, but quite a tasteful shade and not overly garish. Machine is very easy to use:1: slide out water tray and fill with water. Slides easily back into place. 2: adjust spill tray if necessary (only really needs raising if you’re using an espresso cup. Or keep lowered for normal size cups). 3: switch on the machine and wait a few seconds for the on/off light to turn from red to green. 4: choose a coffee pod, note how many “dashes” are recommended (the strength indicator) on the lid, then slide the pod into the holder. 5: slide your finger over the touch screen until the right number of dashed are shown (you can adjust to your own liking). 6: press the red button on top for a hot drink (or the blue button for cold).

This is my first ever coffee maker, and i love it. First, fill the water tray (that pulls out from the right-hand-side of the base); plug in and switch on, run through cold water and then hot water to clean the system, and you’re ready to go. A pull out tray at the top takes drink or milk ‘pods’. You drop in a pod, select the amount of water needed for the drink (there’s a touch-sensitive control on the top of the machine, and the sachet indicates which setting to use), and press either the hot- or cold- water button. Water’s bubbled through the pod, and your mug below is quickly filled with your drink. For some drinks (hot chocolate and latte, for example), you need to put through a coffee and a milk pod separately. The pack comes with four sample drinks (six pods; two are milk pods) – the ‘chococino’ hot chocolate drink in particular is really indulgent. There are apparently around forty flavours available in all, and the coffee maker comes with a £10 voucher code to spend at the official dolce gusto website (which currently offers free delivery if you’re buying at least four small boxes (a box is 16 pods, so 8 or 16 drinks depending on whether it’s a drink that requires a milk pod)). Alternatively amazon and ‘that auction site’ offer many pods, and some supermarkets stock them.

I’m very happy with my robo 😂😂 it’s fits perfect in my kitchen and got a wonderful designe and the color very nice.

Excellent product, great design and easy to use.

This is a really good looking coffee machine which produces really good coffee. You can set the strength/pressure and it even allows you to produce tea and iced drinks. I find the range it can produce faintly magical – frothy cappuccino from a pod?.My only issue is with the replacement cost of the pods. They aren’t cheap – the cheapest i could find still worked out at 40p per pod. I can’t afford to pay 40p whenever i want a cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) so i think this will be for special occasions only.

A great machine the wife loves it.

Much better than the old model. . Fast delivery some scratches on the machine hence 4 stars not 5.
