Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee Machine : Excellent machine.

It is so easy to use and the coffees are divine. It doesn’t take up a huge lot of space either. The coffee comes in three volumes but you can make your expresso into a large coffee by changing the setting to making it with more water – how cooli have made a video of me making coffee.

The nespresso vertuo plus is at the cutting edge of coffee technology. From the sleek shiny finish to the set up that takes minutes i have to say this machine out smarts all coffee machines. Set up and initial clean takes all of five minutes and with a coffee taking another minute to produce you can have a wonderful smooth coffee of your choice from box to cup within 6 minutes. The choice of coffee available is also great there is a coffee for everyone out there from the suttle smooth coffee to the strong espresso. The machine itself has a large water container meaning no topping up after every coffee, it also has a great pod extraction system meaning your not fiddling with pods after each use. The automatic opening and closing system is a great addition so all you need to do is fill the water and choose your favourite blend of coffee.

This is my first ever nespresso machine;i got it free to try through the amazon vine programme, so thanks a lot amazon. Once i got used to it it was really easy to use, with a big water tank so you don’t have to keep refilling it. One thing i was worried about was how would the machine know how much water to use for the different size capsules, but it turns out they have barcodes,so it reads the codemy son has a previous model;he was very impressed by the way the capsule is pierced automatically, without having to push the lid down manually. One gripe i have is that the ordinary nespresso capsules won’t work in this;you have to use the special vertuo ones, which are harder to find and more expensive. Normally i’d get stuff like that on the internet, but with vertuo being so new here, the only ones i’ve found so far have been american, with ruinous postage costs. However,a nespresso boutique has opened up in our city centre and, although i never normally go there,i think a trip to town is indicated. The coffee is really nice, but my idea of using it all the time instead of nescafe has been scuppered by the price of the pods.

This machine is fantastic – it dispenses the correct amount of liquid for the pod inserted – seems to have a mind of its own – very impressed all round.

It is used for my daily morning coffee and produces very tasty coffee. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I have just received my nespresso vertuoplus magimix and thought i’d share my thoughts having tried and tested it for a few days. Whilst unpacking the machine i was impressed with the sleek, elegant design that looks very high end and premium. It’s fairly lightweight, but more importantly it takes up much less worktop than the machines i’ve had previously. Another feature i love, is that the water tank is of a larger capacity meaning it needs re-filling less often and it can easily be adjusted to sit either on the left or right hand side of the machine. This is a feature i’ve never come across before and is really useful when space is at a premium. The pods come in a range of different sizes according to the variety you purchase. Each variety is colour coded so you can see at a glance which varieties you have available. It also allows you to check out the strength and flavour on the menu easily. Now here comes the really clever part. The pods are each barcoded so that the machine automatically reads the barcode and knows how much water to use for each one.

my wife and i generally prefer to drink longer coffees so a large lungo is our usual choice and having seen that the new vertuo coffee pods specifically came in different sizes depending on the size of coffee you are making the machine looked perfect for us. Initial setup of the machine was straightforward and took no more than 10minutes and we were soon brewing our first mug of coffee using the new centrifugal system in the machine. The new brewing system means there is no need for a noisy pressurised pump when making the coffee which greatly reduced the noise the machine made compared to my existing nespresso machine. Once served the coffee had a lovely crema on top, much more than i have seen from using previous nespresso machines with the smaller pods and the coffee tasted great as well. In day to day use the machine is simple and quick to use, the new barcode technology saves having to press specific buttons depending on the coffee size required, and the large water tank means you aren’t forever filling up the machine. The new bar-code technology makes the machine perfect for someone who enjoys a coffee but may be put off by the technicalities of using a more complicated machine where you can adjust coffee size, water temperature etc. The machine is compact and won’t take up too much counter space and the adjustable position for the water tank gives added flexibility when deciding where to place the machine. Cleaning was quick and easy as the machine has very few parts, a quick rinse under the tab was all that was needed to clean the drip tray and the capsule bin is large enough to hold a good few days with of used pods before you need to think about emptying it. The warm-up time of the machine is a bit slower than our existing machine, however, this is offset by the simple one-touch system and bar code reading of the pods. You can drop a pod in the machine press the button and walk away to grab the milk from the fridge and the coffee is pretty much ready by the time you get back.

Amazing all round highly recommend .

This is a great product very easy to use and stylish. And it allows you to have a full mug off coffee rather than just espresso or lugano sized.

This one takes nespresso’s new and very visually appealing vertuo capsules and is of the fully automatic type that requires you just to pop in a capsule, press a button and stand back for a moment or two. The new capsules can make coffee in four cup sizes including really very large cups indeed. For those wanting a flagon of caffeine of a morning to stick in a large travel mug before tackling the commute; this is now a very attractive option. Equally, all those nice little espresso moments are catered for too. The new system spins the capsules as it flushes the water through, which seems novel and is perhaps the reason why the crema can be so substantial that you can stand a spoon up in it. The machine is nice and sleek but bigger than i think it appears in photos, together with the substantial water holder (which can be moved to either side) it will take up quite a slot on your worktop. I desperately wanted to love this new version of the nespresso system but sadly the coffee, though good, isn’t great. We have a big lumbering bean-to-cup machine in the kitchen which makes incredible coffee but that is also not very convenient, takes a ton of maintenance and is physically a big unit taking up lots of space. I was hoping to be able to replace that machine with this much neater and significantly easier to live with nespresso option. That’s the clincher here for me; even with lots of different flavours and strengths, and there’s a very nice 12-capsule sampler pack included in the box, it’s not quite gold standard coffee.

Not amazing coffee like the very best coffee shops.

I was super excited to see my new vertuoplus had arrived yesterday and was quick to get it unboxed and up and running. The packaging was very simple and well thought out, and the milktray style starter pods are a classy touch. The instructions are easy to follow, although could perhaps be a bigger font or laid out better as they do try to cram a lot of info onto one page. First impressions are of a well put together device, that is simple to use with two main buttons to get it going. I was very surprised by how quiet it was in operation, having used a friends traditional nespresso machine i expected it to be either the same or louder, but it’s defiantly more hushed. Once i’d chosen my desired coffee, a couple of steps later i had a perfectly poured cup of coffee in a rather snazzy glass mug, plus it was just the right temperature and delicious too. A great start, and i can’t wait to try more of the coffees out. My only negative comment re the machine, is that the when preparing a coffee with milk, it could perhaps be a little hotter so as not to get cold so quickly, maybe a little more practice with milk quantities will help.

Fabulous coffee, and a really easy way of making it. This machine comes with a selection of the different strengths and types of capsules available. From espresso size up to mug. There is a good cross-section , and i – personally – love the richer, stronger, rounded blends. The real kick that comes with the wonderful aroma and full-flavour and caffeine. It is very moreish, and very tempting to keeping drinking, and trying out the different varieties. The machine itself is really easy to set-up, and very easy to use. The instructions that come with it are very easy to follow, and in no time at all i was brewing up my first taste.

I do enjoy coffee but have never owned a machine before. This one is so easy to set up and use, plus cleaning is a doddle. The machine does not take up a lot of room and when i am not using it i park it under a kitchen cupboard. As already mentioned by other reviewers the pods are bar coded so the nespresso machine knows what to do. Even the correct mug size, because this machine knows which size drink it is making. When you press the lever on the machine head upwards the cap ejects into a container at the back of the machine. The caps themselves are easy to place inside. To clean you just place a mug on the holder press down 3 times and the process starts, it takes minutes. It comes with a sample pack in an attractive rich brown coffee coloured box. Opening the lid are twelve podswrapped in beautiful colour coded foil.

This is my first ever machine like this. I am not a coffee drinker, but the rest of the family are, and they have been on my back for ages to get one for when they visit. Now they are all in heaven – and so am i – not just because i am no longer being nagged, but because i am having more visits, too. This is a beautiful, streamlined piece of kit that does not take up a huge amount of room, yet does everything that my coffee-expert offspring expect from a top coffee shop, apparently. Apart from being able to make 4 different sized cups – and make both regular coffee and espresso – there is a wide variety of pods available, to suit the taste of any lover of real coffee. It has a large water tank with the capacity to make 10 cups before being refilled and you can also re-use the pods, which means my kids bring their own fave blends over and make their own artisan pods. And, as a total newbie, i am finding it very easy to use. Between the enclosed instructions and the family’s noisy input, i am now a pretty good home-barista. Definitely an excellent product to learn the art and craft – and to produce superb coffee.

Liked the easy no fuss way of making fresh coffee, taste great so many variety of coffees to choose from. The milk foamer is brilliant as well. The vertuo looks very stylish and easy to use.

Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee Machine, Black finish by Magimix – 11385

I have been working my way through the coffees at a snail’s pace, one a day – so it has taken a little longer than expected to get around to my review. I suffer from acid reflux and for some reason, the coffee from this machine has a habit of provoking it more intensely than from instant coffees, which is what i usually indulge in (i think it’s simply because this coffee is more ‘real’, which certainly isn’t a bad thing in every day circumstances)i love the taste of the coffee, even the milder ones are quite strong. The ones with caramel or hazelnut are by far, my favourite so far. The machine itself functions flawlessly, and has not let me down so far. I love the fact it automatically dispenses of the capsules ready for the next one. The water container holds a lot of water, although i don’t like to fill it up much. I prefer to replace it with fresh water every time. The whole unit feels very high quality. Even the pods feel premium, which would probably explain why they’re a little pricey at 50p per capsule from the average store (i imagine you could probably get these cheaper elsewhere) – probably a bit too much of a leap from instant for me personally, although i’ve asked friends who tried the coffee and they would definitely go for this machine instead. I do really love the machine and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a proper coffee in the comfort of their own home, it just isn’t really for me due to my own personal preferences.

I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

Having had a tassimo coffee machine in the past, i was intrigued to try one by a different brand. So far, i am suitably impressed by nespresso. The whole look of the machine, and the way it operates is great. It sits neatly on the counter and you can move the water container so that it will sit nicely in a corner of the counter. I also really enjoy the fact that once your coffee has brewed you simply open up the machine with a quick flick of the silver lever on the front and it disposes of your coffee pod for you in a container at the back of your machine, meaning you only need to worry about putting them in the bin once this is full. The coffee in itself is great, being a new designed coffee capsule from nespresso you are limited in what you can purchase (eg. There are no third party capsules available), but i imagine over time this will change, and as far as getting the actual nespresso ones go – there are plenty options. You can either purchase your capsules online or go into a nespresso store where the staff are knowledgable and willing to answer any questions. It makes you feel like you are in a very exclusive coffee club. I really enjoyed the fact that the machine came with a taster bundle, so you can use it straight away and it also allows you to work out what kind of coffee you want to buy in the future.

First coffee machine to buy, works flawlessly, brews nice coffee. Nothing else to add, very happy overall.

A very stylish machine that would fit into a modern or cottage kitchen equally well, it is quick and very simple to use, it has an automatic pod disposal and loader, there are so many different choices of coffee for this machine and for a coffee lover this is great value for money, i would recommend this machine for the serious or casual coffee drinker alike.

This is the new offering from nespresso, with a different shape of capsule and four available cup sizes. The machine is large but well designed; the narrow profile means it can fit on a worktop beside other appliances, making use of the full depth of the cabinet, with the option of having the water tank off to either side as well as directly behind. One thing to note is that the power cord is relatively short at 85cm, so you need to put this very near an outlet or use an extension lead. It’s quite a tall machine and the brewing head needs an additional 10 or 15 cms of clearance to lift for adding capsules, so it’s not well suited to installation under a shelf. It is reassuringly heavy, and doesn’t seem to move easily in normal use. Setup is easy out of the box, with clear instructions on rinsing the machine for first use – you can be making a coffee within 15 minutes of unpacking the vertuo. This model uses a powered system for opening and closing the brewing head and removing used capsules to the holder at the back of the machine, so it’s very light-touch to use. You can brew up to 13 cups of coffee before you need to empty the used cartridges and refill the water tank – how many exactly will depend on whether you’re making the larger, mug-sized coffees or the smaller espressos. Vertuo was, apparently, developed with office or commercial settings in mind; the size and style of this machine does make it more suited to those settings than to a small domestic kitchen, although serious coffee drinkers at home will find it convenient to use. There is no milk frother on the vertuo (you can buy the separate aeroccino from nespresso), and at the moment there are no milk capsules of the type found in other capsule systems, so this machine produces black coffees only.

I purchased to replace an aging bean to cup machine. Consistent, great tasting coffee.

I enjoy a cup of coffee – i already have an entry level bean-to-cup machine and a tassimo machine. This nespresso vertuo plus is a gorgeous looking new machine, easily the most attractive and striking that i own. It has a large and very classy removable cylinder for the water, an attractive and substantial cup stand and a cool lid that raises and lowers with a single touch (and automatically disposes of your last coffee capsule into a storage bin at the rear). It’s a pleasure to look at and it’s a pleasure to use. Does it make decent coffee though?. It makes a fantastic cup of coffee and fills the air with that wonderful rich coffee aroma as it does it. I’ve drank all the coffee supplied with the machine and particularly enjoyed some of the stronger mug and gran lungo drinks. The coffee comes out hotter than the tassimo, if you add milk to your drink that means you actually end up with a hot drink (unlike the tassimo). There’s also a much smoother, rich crema on the top, which i like a lot.

Easy to use and makes hot coffee.

I love my coffee but i’ve always hated what i have to do to get a cup at home: pay a fortune for a bag and then hope i can use it up before it loses flavour, set up my cafetière or espresso machine, drink the tiny cup of coffee, clean up etc. This machine completely does away with all that nonsense- the pods come in different drink sizes including mug size (hallelujah), there are lots of different flavours and strengths to try and you can buy a selection box so you can pick whatever you fancy per drink. The machine is so simple it could be operated by a two year old and there is zero mess, coffee heaven.
