When this parcel of new arrivals landed on my doorstep in metallic copper packaging, I got a little too excited and started swatching and brushing my lashes in an instance. Backstory; Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara & Scandaleyes Liners – the perfect products for achieving full, clump-free lashes with 24-hour impact as well as a flawless flick and precision designs.
Firstly, the mascara. Available in two colours; Black & Extreme Black which are now available in-stores such as Boots.com, with a recommended retail price of £6.99. The soft bristles are shaped perfectly to help you achieve full, voluptuous lashes, free from any clumps – because we all hate clumpy lashes, don’t we?
So, what do you need to know about this new beauty?
- The formula features First to Market Patented Technology which is what works to provide extreme volume in an instance.
- The new tapered, max-density brush fits the shape of the eye which is what provides you with such luscious looking lashes.
- It’s sweat-proof – hallelujah, smudge-proof – say what, and lasts up to 24 hours. In all honesty, I never understand the latter in relation to makeup, because who feels the need to be wearing makeup on their skin for that long? Albeit, it’s nice to know that if I happen to sleep with my mascara still intact – let’s say it was a long day and removing eye makeup just wasn’t on the agenda – that it may still be good to go in the morning without a top up. However, that sounds pretty gross to me.
- Despite all the sweat and smudge-proof benefits, it’s still an easy-to-remove product with the use of warm water. To remove gently, soak a cotton pad, hold to the eye for a couple seconds, and wipe away. Simple as that really.
As for the Rimmel Scandaleyes Liners, these are available in just the one shade – Black, but are available in two variations; Thick & Thin and Micro. The Thick & Thin liner features a 3D slanted felt tip which enables you to draw a flawlessly thick or thin flick/line – depending on the style you’re opting for – which is all down to the way you hold the liner to suit you. As for the Micro liner, this is ultra-thin for precision lines.
These liners are seriously pigmented with 24-hour impact, again, and are: sweat-proof for when the pressure of that perfect flick is on, tear-proof for when we run out of wine, smudge-proof for the tiredness hits hard, heat-proof when our hotness clearly gets too much and, well, I could go on all day. These are now available too with a recommended retail price of £5.49 – bargain alert! Plus, may I just add, that the Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Micro actually lives up to be the perfect dupe for the Kat Von D Ink Tattoo Liner. Just saying.
