So easy to use and very easy to clean. It’s also small, well compared to my old blender i had so it feels very compact now. The one thing i would say is that ‘locking’ (twisting) the container both on and off makes it feel like it could break if you are not careful.Otherwise, it would have got 5 stars. I now enjoy making my lovely kale, fruit, flax seed, chia seeds and green powder shakes every morning now. I buy my kale fresh but freeze it into portions which save me time washing it every morning.
I have had 2 blenders previously from amazon which i have returned as i haven’t been able to find a blender which can blend frozen fruit down smoothly, but this nutri ninja does the jobit is so powerful and can break down anything to make a smooth and lump free smoothie/juice/whatever you want. It is extremely powerful and therefore quite noisy but you only need to use it for a max of 1 minute, so the noise doesn’t really matter. Super impressed with it and just wish i brought it sooner.
I bought this to start making smoothies for breakfast, plan was to throw a mix of fresh and frozen veg and nuts. I rarely write reviews unless something is terrible or surpasses my expectations. Very simple to use, i generally use the ‘blend’ button for fresh stuff and ultra blend if i have ice or frozen fruits and veg (although you can manually stop and start it or use pulse as well). You press it once and it starts a 60 second timer and stops and starts it self to get the perfect smoothie after 60 seconds. This is a permanent resident on my kitchen worktop now. The main reason i love it is its very easy to clean, u can drink it in the same container you mixed it by changing the top and theres no nucks and crannies to clean.
As others have said, this is noisy. It’s not as bad as i expected given other reviews, but it was noisy enough for my grandchildren to cover their ears when first in use. It is a blender and a powerful one at that. The iq programmes are fabulous. Just press a button and it pulses and blends thoroughly. Delighted with its ease of use, its neat appearance and its performance. The only downside may be the cleaning of the rim of the blender component. I give it a good rinse we as soon as i am finished. Overall, i am really pleased.
Better than i thought it would be – making protein shakes, smoothies, etc has become a lot less hassle and cleaning takes less than a minute. Yes, it is slightly noisy on start up – my dogs jumped the first time. It’s great to be able to make it in the cup that you can drink from – just makes everything so much easier.
I am impressed with this , so far used it for my smoothies for breakfast before the gym. I like that you can start it up and it turns itself off after a minute. You dont have to stand there ad watch over it or hang on to it in fear of it coming away. After use i rinse with water and its ready for another day. Very little maintenance, compact footprint on the counter too. A week in and i tried houmous. It handled the thicker consistency real well. I discovered the blend function , it’s comes on and off ,working the the job at a nice pace.
Used it everyday since i got it. My only gripe is that it doesn’t cope with lots of frozen fruit together (although my old smoothie maker didn’t do frozen at all so this is much better). And it’s noisy so i’d be worried about doing it too early in the morning. But i can get over those things, because it’s great otherwise, highly recommend.
Got this when it was on sale as i do feel this brand is overpriced plastic(). That said, the smoothies come out really smooth (frozen fruit, ice etc) and love the fact that while there are presets, there is also a button for personal preferences. G we like our oat based smoothies a bit ‘gritty’. While it’s easy to clean (usual warm soapy water routine), it can just as easily be tossed into the dishwasher.
I’ve been using it every morning for the last 2 years for my breakfast: oats, pumpkin seeds etc. I broke it once by going over the max line too often & they replaced it as that shouldn’t have happened (customer service from lakeland was sincerely amazing). I compared it with the nutribullet. They are quite similar but the main joint of the nutribullet moved so letting liquid the possibility to leak. The only ‘difficulty’ is to clean the part where the joint is but this is the trade off for having a product that won’t leak.
But it’s very, very, very noisy. It still makes me jump now and i know what sound it’s going to make. Some seeds need several blends and are still noticeable but bearable (blackberries are the main culprit). Don’t bother with coconut unless you are happy to seive it. It does make a lovely lassi but a lot of effort. Four stars mostly due to the noise. I have more fruit, veg and seeds in my diet with this in the kitchen.
Have had it for a year now and everything still works great. I probably use it once a week to make a smoothie with frozen berries and ice. Yes it crushes the ice completely.I guess it is fairly loud and if you live in a flat or wouldn’t want to wake someone up it doesn’t suit you that well. But if you need a reliable machine for smoothies, frozen or not then i’m 100% satisfied a year on.
Powerful enough to blend frozen spinach which some of the cheaper blenders i’ve bought haven’t been. As people mention really noisy so not for use when the kids are in bed. Only gripe is the cupsizes were too small for me. 500ml is a waste of time, 800 ml is just about doable but i ended up buying a seperate 1 litre cup.
I absolutely love this blender the auto iq is a cool feature, the cups are really good, its very powerful haven’t had any problems its blended everything with ease. Have been having smoothies everyday and milkshakes on occasion. I am getting my 5 a day noe and sometimed even more and the smoothies are absolutely delicious without needing to add anything extra all i use is fruit and water or milk and they are great. One of my most favourite things i have bought in a long time.
Why did i waste so much money buying cheap blenders instead of buying this straight away?. It blends my protein shakes and frozen fruit effortlessly. I love the iq feature too, blending in short bursts to make sure all ingredients are blended perfectly. The cups are great sizes, firs lots of ingredients in.
I am really in love with this blender. After reading that this blender makes a lot of noise, i was not sure but i have used it ever since i bought it probably now for 4 or 5 times with different things,. . Vegetables to make delicious cremes and smoothies. Can be also used for soups actually. Although i would only use cooled down ingredients after boiling plus it is not easy to get all of the solid texture out of the cup. The quality: i really cannot complain, easy to clean, looks neat, nice rubber on the bottom that holds the blender in place. Tried different functions and all i can say is that i am amazed at this automatic functionality :). No need to check anymore manually, you will get your smoothie very smooth. I have not tried it yet with frozen fruit. I did not cut myself yet but you will see a big warning paper sent with the blender telling you to be cautious. :)i am very happy with my purchase and so far can recommend it. A motorcycle is louder than this but yes, maybe dont use a blender at 7am in the morning when others might sleep.
Bought this product for my mum a few months ago. Sticks to the counter, no need to hold it down. The pre-programmed options are nice. Just press the button and done. Tad more expensive than other blenders – whether it’s worth it is going to be subjective. At the end of the day it’s about what you’d expect. It blends things and does it pretty well. If you’re looking for a good blender that can make you smoothies and crush whatever you put in then this is certainly a good choice. If you’re sharing a wall with someone and noise matters or if you’re on a super tight budget then you may want to consider your options.
This is simply one of the most important gadgets you need in your kitchen. I train several times a week and am always trying to eat fast nutritious food. Smoothies can make perfect recovery drinks. My 6 year old son who is frightened of fruit loves milk shakes and smoothies so hey presto a quick blitz of some fruit with milk or ice cream and he is also having his 5 a day.
This thing is seriously seriously good at what it does. I was recommended this by someone who uses it daily to make almond flour from almonds, protein shakes, smoothies and the rest. He has the 900w i have the newer 1000w. Different worlds my friend. It’s intelligent, and runs programmed cycles to ensure the best blitz. I’ve owned a nutri bullet and wish i’d known about the ninja earlier on. Plus this thing looks great (mine is in red matching my kitchen goods).
Love this product and got me well into the juicing culture. Auto setting work fine although i’m not sure they actually do anything ‘automatically’ outside of a pre set program. Nice and easy to clean- just be careful to keep the base unit tidy. Main disadvantage would be the volume – it is loud.Too loud for an early morning pre kids awake smoothie. I guess this is however the payoff for related power.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Better (and louder) than a Bullet, but has the same nasty silicone seal problem
- Simple. Easy to Clean. Quality Product.
- Fantastic Blender!
Review after 3 months usei came from a bullet blender and this is so much better – it’s sturdier, feels of better quality, i have never had it leak on me (unlike the bullet. . A lot) and all parts are dish washer safe. You just throw stuff in it and press blend. I like the auto iq programs, which actually do make a difference for blending better (compared to bullet). Cons – the only real con to this product, which btw is also a con for bullet and other upside down blenders, is the silicone seal ring in the blender lid. That seal ring gets nasty af quickly and ideally you would need to pull it out after every use and wash it and the lid. . You might as well get normal blender, where this process is much, much easier. In the ninja’s defence, getting the seal out is much easier than in a bullet due to the much better build quality of the ninja. It’s also worth mentioning that this machine is loud.
Well i have written twice but had no response so i am writing this review. Bought to replace previous model that was damaged by water after three years of good service. This model after two months requires the blend unit to be held down over the whole cycle or just stops. Sometimes giving it a title of automatic ai can’t replace good engineering.
(update) bit of an update to this one. It’s still a great blender but the cups do have a very annoying design fault. If you blend something, stick the lid on and then pour through hole in the lid e. The smoothie goes into the threads of the lid. If the lid is not then removed, the smoothie drys and fuses the lid and cup together. It’s nothing major and there are no leaks but it’s very annoying. Fresh into the blending game but this does everything i expected it to do based on the other reviews. 2 x large cups (slightly different sizes)2 x lids with flip lock lids that allow you drink straight out of the cup without removing the lid1 x base unit1 x blending blades1 x pamphlet with a few recipe ideasi’ve used this for smoothies and milkshakes, as well blending sauces up. Nothing seems to stop it blending despite some petty tough ingredients. A number of reviews stated it was very loud but in my experience it wasn’t as bad as i was expecting and no louder than my old food processor, coffee grinder etc. A few different settings but the one touch blend feature does everything for you so not played about too much. If you like to blend things or think you might like to, you can do a lot worse than this nutri ninja that so far has lived up to all my expectations.
