PicoPix Philips PPX3610 100 Lumens Multimedia Pocket Projector : Four Stars

I only got this projector a few days ago, so my review is based upon that. I love android on my phone, and this is what sold me on this projector. It is brilliant, small, and can connect on its own to various vod websites,it also streams movies directly from my macbook air via dlna (through wifi). I had to install tvmobili (a dlna server) on my mac in order for this to work. You do have to make the room darker in order to see better, but this is expected from a portable projector, and it does have a high lumen-output compared to some other portable ones – 100 lumens.

This model is so much better than the 2450 version which i initially bought and then had to replace as it refused to connect with my laptop. As with so many devices nowadays there is no manual and it is essential to download the pdf file from the philips website before you start. The interfaces are great and easy to hook up and the wireless connection is really helpful. Small, very portable, but needs the addition of a carry bag if you want to keep it and its cables together. Irritating that the bag and cables (vga for example) are extra hence 4 stars.

I got robbed 1 week after arrived i remember that the projector was amazing i would buy it again if only i can save money again for the newest version :'( i’m still having the box somewhere (that’s so sad).

This has almost everything you could want in a micro projector. It reads practically every format out there and even in daylight under battery use the projection is quite clear. Love the app that you can use to operate this.

Very pleasantly surprised at the performance, from such a small piece of equipment, does need a darkened room to fully appreciate it, but i wouldn’t use this as a criticism. Overall a welcome addition to my home entertainment.

I wanted a very small device to project video in my bedroom , this is a top.

Excellent picture quality and easy set up. Output a little quieter than i expected although it is only 1 watt. External speakers would need to be amplified to make it louder if required – computer type speakers don’t lift the volume a great deal. Bear in mind if you have a screen/wall that is close to the projector the image will be smaller – it has a focus but no zoom so setting up might be tricky in some applications. But overall very good and worth the money.

It is perfect for my purpose. Very compact, can be carried in my coat pocket. It doesn’t come with a lead to connect to apple devices. I had to buy one which cost about £25. In addition you will need a tripod of some sort. I use a small table top tripod but you can use anything that comes with a camera. It can be connected wirelessly but needs a reliable wi-fi. When you are doing a presentation away from your base it is reassuring to use a hardwire connection. It also has facilities to connect a usb memory stick which i haven’t tried yet. The response of the touch screen on the device is very slow to; sometimes you wonder if it has accepted your command.

I think this pocket projector is the best out therethe wifi works great with my samsung tab s and samsung s5 phonenice clear video and easy to set upgreat 10 out of 10 all the way.

I absolutely love this pocket projector. I previously owned the picopix 2330 and whilst i thought that was great it could not play lots of formats and trying to play hd was just useless. So i decided to upgrade to this device. It’s a lot bigger than the 2330 model i had, but it packs in so many more features i thought it was worth it. The device runs a slim line version of android, which if technically minded means you can side load androids apps onto the device and project them onto a large screen. The projector is wifi and dlna compatible. It is great from streaming from a nas. You can plug a usb memory stick into it loaded with films and it plays pretty much all formats without issue. It has an sd slot at the read also. The brightness is excellent in a semi dark room and the picture quality is excellent.

Far better than previous unknown brand and clear instructions.

Great itself but hard to connect to wifi on phone. Doesn’t seem to connect with my ipad or phone either so have had to use with laptop. Might be doing something wrong but i had a projector to use with my laptop before.

I was given this little projector at work for my presentations. I decided to try with art at home. If you are looking for a perfect little projector to trace your drawings, this is the one. I have used it today and i could see every details of the drawing. I did different drawing sizes, from very small to very big seating comfortably on my chair. I have used a usb where i stored pictures and the the touch screen was easy to use. I have used other types of projectors before but i think this is the best. First of all is small, it doesn’t take to much space and second i can draw in any size easily.
