Skullcandy Smokin Buds 2 Bluetooth Wireless In-Ear Earbuds – : Good value, good battery life

My only beef with these is, that at very rare instances, it seems that the bluetooth has problems with these earphones. I dunno why, checked numerous pages on the internet for answers and nada. Sound is great, not the typical skullcandy big bass and no high frequencies. Battery lasts about 4 hours on full volume, which should be more than enough, if you are working out. Would have given 5/5, if not for these very instances, where bluetooth is kinda glitchy.

Gift for my teenage son who loves them. He constantly has one in his ear and one hanging down – makes him look like morrisey. Anyway, he’s happy and they seemed like good value too.

I bought these towards the end of october as i was really getting into my fitness, served me very well, battery life is great, sound quality is good, but not the loudest, and range from earphones to phone is good, never really had a problem. Went for a run with them this morning though, first the buttons wouldn’t work and then it just turned itself off, never to come on again. I admire skullcandy, they make really good earphones that are comfortable, effective but they always break so soon after buying them, it’s a real shame, is there any way i can get these repaired?.

I love these as the bulky ear buds of most bluetooth headphones hurt my ears. I use these to workout – run, row, cycle, weights, cross trainer etc and have found the most comfotable way to wear is to remove the flexible neck bit as i found this can bounce when running or working out hard and pop the red bluetooth hub down my sports bra. I also actually do this when just them in day to day life – on tube etc.

Work well, thought it had weak connection, but turned out to be my phone. Sound quality is good, build quality is ok, feels a little plasticky.

Really good clear sound for the price point and battery life is good. Controls are fiddly and not easy to press. To skip back to a previous song means holding the down button for 3 seconds. Because it takes so long it can only skip to the start of the current track and can’t skip to the previous. A minor nuisance on an otherwise solid pair of earphones.

Skullcandy have to be my favourite headphone makers. I use the wireless grind headphones when out and about but wanted a set for when i go out and am going to a gig or somewhere where i need a set that i can just put in my pocket. Such a great sound from them. Bass is so good but not overpowering which is what i like. Good battery life and great fit.

Seeing the other reviews and several elsewhere online, i was expecting a well built product with pretty decent sound. These don’t really have either of those qualities. The sound is okay but they do have a very harsh hi-end and the bass isn’t the best. As for build quality they feel like a kids toy from a kinder egg rather than a product worth £32.

  • Amazing.
  • Not quite what I expected
  • Lovely sound. Terrible lifespan.

Had these for 4 months now and have to say they are excellent in terms of not just sound but also battery life and durability. Sound is good with decent bass and mid range – ok so not as good as my bose but still better than most. Pairing by bluetooth works ok. I generally use the neck “brace” feature all the time which keeps the ear pieces in place well and you soon forget its round your neck. You can remove this and just have a smaller unit at the back of your neck if you want. Excellent for at the gym, when flying or travelling or just chilling at home. I would buy another pair no question.

Bought these back in january and was very happy with the sound of the earphones. They connect quickly and have a nice sound for the price. However, they have now stopped working in what sounds like a common fault with this model – once disconnected from the charging cable, they stop working. Having looked around online, it sounds like lots of people have had the exact same problem. I’ve tried repeatedly to contact skullcandy customer service but to no avail. Overall, very disappointed with the lifespan of these earphones, ruining an otherwise excellent set of wireless earphones.

My problem is having tiny eardrums. I used smaller ear pads from another set. Unfortunately when i move about they pull out. Otherwise it is a neat brilliant price of wireless equipment.

I’ve had cheaper bluetooth earphones before and the jump in quality to these is discernible. The sound is well rounded and deep and they feel comfortable in the ear and on the neck. The best thing is they really do last a long time on a charge.

Bought these for the gym, was worried because some reviews talked about connecting issues, took a chance and turns out they have great connectivity. Quality sound and are a good fit. The black and red design sets them apart from the rest 👌🏽.
