SoundMAGIC P22BT Wireless Portable Audio Headset : A Real Pleasure

Tldr; comfy, cheap, reliable, well-built and sound good. I bought these to use as an alternative to iem’s for on the go use. The lack of wires, even to a dongle somewhere, made them an attracthe headphones arrived in a basic understated cardboard box, with a plastic egg-shell-type insert to hold them. Inside there was also a charging cable, a cable (standard 3. 5mm) for using in wired mode and a neat zip-up pleather storage case. The cables both appear perfectly adequate; the audio cable being a little on the ‘bouncy’ side, but this is an ‘extra’ rather than a main feature of the headphones. The case is quite neat and tidy, and the ear-cups fold down into the headband to pack away. Its a nice addition, although i am not sure i’d trust it to completely protect against knocks and bangs inside a backpack when out and about.

Lovely sounding headphones – really comfortable fit. Easy to connect and use the controls. However, quality is a little poor but i guess that you get what you pay for. The plastic scratches incredibly easily.

The headphones are exactly as they are presented. Very well packed, very well suited on the head. Very good materials and very good sound quality. May be if i buy a headphones for £300 they might be better, but this one is just perfect for that price.

Never had this type of headphone for mobile use before as always used in-ear. Having looked at these – i’m delighted with the decision. The headphones are comfortable and the sound for speech and music excellent. They also have a jack lead for office use.

Considering the price bracket, the sound is very decent. For their size, they output a substantial amount of bass yet still remain fairly balanced across the entire spectrum. Fairly lightweight & comfortable. They fold down nice a small so they travel well. If you’re looking for a decent pair of bluetooth over ear’s on a budget, i would definitely recommend these.

Really love the quality of these headphones. First bluetooth headphones i have owned and love them. Quick to charge, easy to use and comfortable to wear, sound quality is brilliant, worth every penny.

Great headphones for the money. Good sound quality, although you may wish to use them in conjunction with an equaliser app to adjust to the tones you prefer. Bluetooth is a great improvement over a wire connection, but this is supplied if you need it. The battery allows plenty of use before a recharge is required. I use them regularly with audio books downloaded from the library as well as music from spotify and tunein radio apps. They are very smart and well built and i have even used them whilst cycling off road. They allow good adjustment, but personally i still find them a little tight. They can be worn around the neck when not listening. Very good value and most enjoyable.

Very nice headphones, build quality, sound, particularly for the price. I am indeed surprised, i thought i would have to pay much more to get a decent bluetooth headphones (it’s my first, my other ones are in-ear headphones) and i definitely recommend them, specially for the price they cost. I use them a the gym and they have nice sound quality and isolate the sounds around me.

They sound great, and the bluetooth works really well. Being wire free is brilliant in the gym, in the office and on my bike. The sound quality is second to none. You’d expect this kind of clarity and bass on a decent wired pair of headphones. Usb rechargeable, and the battery lasts for ages. I generally charge every 10 hours or so, but i think they last about 16 hours. They seem really sturdy and the folding mechanism means they are easy to chuck in the zip up pockets of your bag. There is a bit of lag when using the controls, but they do the job.

I bought these for my husband and he absolutely loves them. They fit his head well and cut out all the background noise which is what he wants for his bus journey to work and says the bass is great. He is also using them when composing songs on cubase and says they are good for mastering tracks. They have a good tone and the base end is good. They give a good overall sonic representation- tracks that have been mastered with the headphones play back well when played on other speakers. Being bluetooth means that when he is recording, he is not tied to being at the mixing desk – another bonus.

I wish i could offer the detail of other reviewers of these headphones but i am simply not that technical-minded when it comes to audiophile stuff. That said, i’ve tried a lot of different headphones (over ear, on ear and monitors), at quite a range of prices and know what i like and don’t. My listening habits on-the-go range from your basic speech podcasts, to complex radio plays (i work in the industry), to classical music, to chart stuff, to heavy rock, to electronica. What i require, therefore, is something that offers a sound qualty which covers all bases well – a king (rather than jack), of all trades, if you will. I also commute to work on the very loud jubilee line on the london underground. I though without noise cancelling you might as well give up listening to anything on those trains but these are perfectly fine even on the tube. In these headphones i think i’ve found something perfect for the job. I’ve also got some of sony’s top of the range noise cancelling bluetooth headphones which are wonderful but far too cumbersome for my work bag on days when it’s full so these will be bang on to throw about when needed. Truthfully, the sound quality is not 8x better on the sonys compared to these (which is about the difference in price). You’ll inevitably get a little bit more “bleed” from sounds outside an on-ear headphone rather than an over-ear one, but it’s not an issue with these.

Good sounding headphones, a bit weighty and not as comfortable compared to my philips shb5500 set. If you have a big head () you may find these a bit tight. I’m not big-headed but still want to remove them after about half an hour.

Brilliant headphones for the price. Such amazing depth of bass and clarity of sound. Really top notch for a bargain price. I had considered paying for some top end bose or sony cans and whilst they probably would provide an even richer sound, these are stunningly good for the price. Would definitely recommend them.

Great sound and good battery life for the price but like others have stated the build quality around the head strap is poor. On my pair the plastic casing on one side broke just putting them on my head after a few weeks of use. Shame really because i really do like everything else about them.

These headphones are an absolute veritable modern day bargain. They are incredibly user friendly, and due to their price point (being of exceptional value relative to their high quality and low price) i am finding that i’m taking them out more often and to almost every occasion, using them more often than my ‘audiophile’ cans priced at several times their low price. And they connect to the bluetooth on my iphone with no hassle almost every time which is a practical boon.Sound is detailed with good soundstage, base and mid range. They go loud enough but i’d personally like them going one click more ideally but this is a small gripe really all things considered. Comfy, easy controls, practical, good sounding and amazing value which means they get good use by me out and about. Highly recommended value quality wireless bluetooth headphones.
