It feels like ages ago since I did a style post of any kind, but I figured today I’d rummage my way through the endless supply of online stores available to us and showcase my top style picks. I don’t tend to follow the latest trends as much as other people out there, mainly because the latest and greatest style items are quite pricey. However, I do tend to switch up the way I dress and how I accessorise my outfits according to the season…and weather.
Cream Floral Waterfall Blazer at New Look, £28.
I love blazers and own too many, but they are a simple way of dressing up any outfit – no matter how casual it is. Now that spring is here and the weather is picking up slowly but surely, lightweight and floral style pieces are a must for my wardrobe. New Look have always been a favourite of mine when it comes to clothes, but their jackets/blazers in particular are always on point. I can never fault them!
Mango Strap Top at JohnLewis.com, £18.
This shade of blue; a darkish pastel blue, is my ultimate favourite. I am currently wearing a Revlon nail polish in Dreamer that matches it perfectly! I think it may be my go-to spring shade this year. This is a great cami top with the thin straps and low-cut back, but the the neck-line is so flattering with the scallop edge. This can be dressed up as it is with a statement necklace, but can easily be made more wearable for the likes of work by wearing a white lace bandeau underneath and throwing a blazer over the top.
Emilio Luca X Avocet Heeled Sandals at Brantano, £26.
These are quite possibly the best summer sandals I have seen so far. They’re perfect for work in the office, but are simple enough to wear out with any outfit this spring/summer. I believe this style is available in a couple other colours, but the white stands out more for me and goes with anything in all honesty! Now the weather is heating up, shoes are the first thing I switch up. Whether it’s summer shoes like so, flat sandals for ultimate comfort or ballet pumps for a quick walk to the shops, big boots are no longer practical for hot weather!
Floozie by Frost Rose Gold Cat Watch at Debenhams, £30.
Watches probably aren’t the first thing you think of when it comes to spring/summer, but I love them. I’m not someone who has lots of different ones for all kinds of outfits, I just have my trusty Jasper Conran watch which I’ve owned for at least 3 years now! BUT, how adorable is this cat watch? It’s not over the top, it’s completely wearable with all outfits, but it’s just a fun accessory in the on-trend rose gold which is an easy sell in my opinion.
Retro Oversized Circle Sunglasses at Amazon.com, £12.
Sunglasses are a must, but the growing trend of oversized ‘lennon’ glasses are my favourite. I owned a pair of these when I went to America a couple years back, but managed to lose them on my way back to the UK. Typical. Anyway, this design is my favourite and lately Amazon have been my go-to place for everything; homeware, DIY, fashion pieces and anything else you can think of!
