Tower 5 Litre 8-in-1 Multi-Cooker – Slow Cooker : Controls are wrong!

The rice function is a bit dry rice making, i guess it depends what type of rice you are using. I normally stoped the programme at 20 mins when it’s making pakistan rice.

Brought this one to replace the one i brought of the telly which only lasted 3months. . It came next day, use it everyday, looks lovely on the side.

Very good price for a very useful kitchen appliance does all that its advertized to do delivered on time very satisfactory.

Gave it 4 stars as no proper instruction booklet as to how to cook rice etc. Had to trawl the internet to find recipe booklet produced by tower.

I’ve used this product for 5 months. It worked well but failed after 5 months use and i could no longer select the programs or adjust the temperature. I found i needed to adjust the temperature manually for some things like frying and slow cooking. The pan is very easy to clean, you can get a lot of veg in it and it was great at steaming and i made pasta in it and stews. There are a lot of programs and it looks stylish. The steaming function can make it spit at the sides and covers the control panel and worktop in water every time no matter how little water you try to use in it. I guess that’s why the controls failed as the lcd display kept steaming up.

Saved space no need for various pans.

Highly recommend this product.

The design is really smart and it has cool-touch sides so you won’t burn yourself. The cooking bowl is non-stick and removable, making it very easy to clean. The heating element is underneath the cooking bowl and the glass lid allows you to see the progress of the cooking. It has rubber feet to stop it from slipping about on the worktop surface. It’s comes with a deep fry pan and also a metal shelf so food doesn’t touch the bottom pan. My initial impression on opening the box and inspecting the cooker was pretty good, it is all well packed and it certainly looks better put together than my old morphy richards multi cookerthere are some things i love about the cooker and some not so much. What i like:nice easy to clean removable pot. Good nonstick cooking surface. Good fitting lightweight lid with a nice rubber seal around the edge. Easy to set the cooking temperature.

Wonderful gadget, everything i have cooked in there so far has been well cooked. I have seen a few people comment on the instructions being vague but i found the booklet that came with it to be perfectly understandable and clear as to how to use each function. There are a few little recipes in there to get you started aswell. I bought this in place of a slow cooker and am very very pleased with it, i am now a multi cooker convert.

Ok with saute/grill but not good as a slow cooker. Not safe to leave on overnight as it boils dry.

Excellent product the wife enjoys using it.

Husband yelled at me for getting this , and last night suggested i get another, lol it is outstanding.

Does everything i need , cooks food well, and easy to clean.

    Great product a compact cooker.

I actually love it but i have an problem with the controls. The logic from warm to boil would have slow cook/steam inbteween them but they are literally the wrong way around. . Warm/boil/slowcook-steam on my machine say that but on boil it slow cooks and on slow cook it boils. I have no idea if the others are correct apart from warm. How do you sort this out if this is a major problem. I have worked it out as i was here to watch my first slow cook which was boiling.

Oooo l love this, use it all the time.

Tower 5 Litre 8-in-1 Multi-Cooker – Slow Cooker, Saute, Steamer, Roast, Frys, Boils, Grills and Braise – Black

I have been without a cooker for over a year now and was looking at my options. Induction hob sounded good, but then i would need the space and saucepan set. This was my final choice as no saucepans needed, between the microwave and this gadget, i am back in the kitchen and enjoying “proper” food again. First thing cooked was a humble fried egg. Then for dinner chops and veggie rice, again couldn’t fault it. Simple fish-fingers crisp and dry with no oil added, super – all things that the microwave just can’t do. 5 litre sized squarish pan is great for getting the dinner cooked for 4, it could do with a timer option.

Love this cooker, easily set up for all sorts of cooking, hard to find anything you couldn’t cook in this. It’s great to be able to brown the meat/ oninons before setting it to slow cook, even better that when your ready, your able to steam the veggies in the same pot making it super easy to deal with the cleaning post meal. It’s big enough to feed a family of 4 which is perfect for my needs. It’s been 3 months of use, and really has been my best purchase in a long time.

Very good packaging when it arrivedit is basically a electric ring in the cooker itself, once and the preset temperature doesnt really match the function, if you slow-cook something, it will eventually got burned, i think its because the preset temperature is higher than it should be. It does the job for steaming, it make things easy to use, doest really like the fact that it doesnt have a timer and the material is to hot that burn things.

Love this product, does all i want it to do.

Bought as christmas present for daughter and she loves it. Great for stews, roasts etc. And chips are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside – perfect.

I bought this for my sister as i already have one and i would’nt be without my cooker. Great if you live on your own as you can cook a whole meal in the pot or for cooking in bulk and freezing meals.

This was to be my third one of the same multicooker but this one kept blowing the fuse even at low temperature. The previous two still worked but i needed a replacement bowl and therein lies the major problem i found it impossible to replace the bowl. The blurb says it’s non-stick and it is. Don’t use metallic cooking tools, i didn’t. Don’t use a scouring pad it’s unnecessary, i didn’t. However, after about 14 months of use the corners start to flake leaving deposits in the food. You also have to start with the premise that the dial lies, play with it a bit and you’ll find the right temperature that’s also true of a lot of cookers. I really do like this unit if only they could offer replacement bowls at a reasonable cost and of course stop blowing my fuses. It may be i just got a faulty one this time although i note someone else had the same complaint.
