Tower Scandi T13006G 10-Cup Filter Coffee Maker : Strong coffee, weak maker

Delivered by amazon in a branded box. This tower scandi coffee maker is fantastic , i like the wooden accents on the handle of the carafe. 2 litres of water and provides 10 cups of coffee , i prefer mugs so make that 4 , it’s easy to use and looks great. A bargain at this price and tower have other items in their range that match.

Great design and quality for the price it takes 1. 2 litres of water and provides 10 cups of coffee, but if you use bigger mugs will be able to make up to 4 in a single-useit also contains an anti-drip function to prevent spillages whilst brewing and anti-slip so it remains stable on your work surface. It’s a quick brewing machine, just great for the price you pay.

One does like a traditional coffee maker for some decent filter coffee. This will appeal to those who like to have readily available coffee at larger quantities and at lower cost than pod-using machines. This is a lovely filter coffee machine with a nice range of colours and a bit of a wood effect that will look nice in an office space, where white kitchen items stand out horribly. The great thing here is that you can use a filter or the built in coffee receptacle, which reduces costs. Coffee brews at good speed to ensure maximum taste and the result is a great cup of filter coffee. Cleaning is ok, as the items that need a wash can be removed without difficulty. All in all a great looking efficient machine.

This looks good, white with pale wood, although feels quite cheap as it is pretty lightweight. Doesn’t affect the performance though. Easy to fill, the lid has a prop, which is really handy when you are filling it up. Performs well, speedy, and good size.

This is great compact little coffee maker. It is made of plastic mostly so don’t expect a nice high quality material. Keeps coffee warm for 40 mins, so would suggest only making when you are among a few cuppas or you know you will have one again within the 40 mins. Otherwise just goes to waste. A normal basic coffee machine. Personally i think pricewise would be better at £20. At £25 it is a little dear for me. But saying that does make good coffee and can’t complain about that.

This is a nice stylish yet minimalistic filter coffee machine. None of the superfluous gadgets and gizmos fitted to some machines this just does what its supposed to do. . Brews coffee and not a bad cup at that. The body of the machine is plastic with a wood effect handle and a nice glass carafe. Looks good works well but switches itself off after 40 minutes which can be annoying. All in all a great functional coffee machine.

Straight out of the box, this is a very attractive coffee maker. The wooden/wood effect accents (the handle of the pot and around the power button) really stand out and are something different to our current coffee maker and to any others i’ve had or seen. It’s also well made and feels sturdy. It’s well-designed to make it easy to use with the water filler easy to see and read, and the lid easy to open and fill. It’s larger than my current coffee maker but then that’s part of this particular machine’s features as it’s a 10-cup, 1. Despite being slightly larger than i’m used to, once full, the pot isn’t overly heavy and the handle makes it easy to pick up and pour. Despite claims in the manual, it took two full cycles to get this clean and ready to use. Not really a problem and something that won’t likely be repeated unless i movebecause the on/off switch is a touch button rather than a switch, it means you can’t use a timer plug or home automation plug with this machine. So you have to be beside it to start it, rather than it being brewed and ready for when you arrive in the kitchen in the morning.

This is a smart, simply designed coffee maker, in the low to mid price range. I have to admit that i have very little experience of coffee machines and i don’t drink it. However my partner and daughter both love their coffee and helped with this review. The tower scandi coffee maker is packaged well, in strong cardboard. Inside are an instruction booklet, and the expected guarantee information. The machine is well protected with polystyrene (thankfully not a silly amount) and a clear bag. It looks and feels plasticky (hardly surprising as that’s what a lot of it is). The lid has a click fastening, with the filter etc inside. The carafe that collects the coffee is glass, with a white plastic lid and handle.

The coffee maker does the job but it’s definitely no thrills. The overall finish is quite plastic-y and cheap looking. The coffee making is quite noisy. The machine is easy to use and clean. The power wire is pretty short though limiting where you can place it.

this is a small coffee machine that makes a large amount of coffee. I love the look of it, its seriously stylish and looks perfect in my white and grey kitchen. However, i was disappointed when i opened the box to find this product is made of thin plastic and weighs next to nothing, especially compared to my old branded coffee machine. The ‘wood’ parts are merely stickers that i don’t feel will last very long in my dishwasher. It’s a real shame about the quality because its looks greatit brews nice and quickly ( under 10mins to till the jug) and the filter is super easy to clean. The warming pad turns off after only 40mins however, it’s easy to just turn the machine back on and have it warming for another 40mins (if you remember). It does make a lot of noise while brewing and i could hear it while sat in my front room. There claims to be a grip on the bottom of the machine to stop it sliding, however, because this machine weighs nothing so i found it slips and slides all over my counter tops, especially when i’m trying to slide the coffee pot out. Overall a great looking, smallish coffee machine that makes coffee quickly and efficiently. It really is such a shame about the quality.

Hot water passed through ground coffee which has a filter for multiple cups. For quick and easy coffee making from ground coffee. The tower scandi t13006g does a good job. The warmer – hot plate only lasts to a maximum of 40 mins. I suppose longer than that coffee may start to degrade?. That smell in the morning is great. A lovely design which is available in two modern colours -grey with wood accents. Also, check out the other items tower scandi have.

We love coffee so we love this, because it’s easy to use, easy to clean and keeps coffee nice and hotquite small and cutefrankly an great filter coffee machinenow i have to find the perfect beanswith this machine, you get coffee’s real taste so differences between strength, grinding etc.

It is obvious that for under £25 that this isn’t going to be a top of the range machine with a vast range of features but it does make a nice cup of coffee. One important thing to notice right away is that the hot plate switches off after 40 minutes. This could be looked at in a couple of ways. It might seem annoying to have coffee go cold so quickly but having had a machine in the past that stayed on for hours, i can vouch that drinking 3 hour stewed coffee is not a pleasant experience. If you want a second cup with a leisurely breakfast say, it should be fine. So just make what you need and there’ll be no waste or disappointment. The design is simple and minimalist with scandinavian influences and it does look quite nice on a kitchen surface. The carafe is easy to wash and dries quickly. At the price, i think it is good value for money and the taste is worth the effort over making a cup of instant coffee.

It’s a quick brewing machine and it looks smart. I don’t like the fact that it only stays on for 40 minutes. It means that, after having one cup of coffee, i have to rush around in order to get my second one before it switches off and the coffee cools down. Be careful when pouring the water into the tank or it can go into the filter section. Other than that, well, it does the job, but not as well as i would have liked. A bit disappointing for a good looking machine.

One of the best i’ve ever bought. (they,re not easy to come by ) not expecting it to last for ever but very pleased so far.

I thought i would have liked the wood finish on the handles and power button, and that it would work well in my kitchen, but it’s the thing i like the least about this machine. I think the wood effects would probably look nicer with the white machine, but i got the grey, which is quite a dark grey, so for me personally it doesn’t really work. Besides that, this is a basic filter coffee maker, it does the job in a simple and uncomplicated way. You don’t need to sit for days making sense of the instructions and all the additional extras, because there aren’t any. It’s also not overly bulky, it’s sturdy and anti-slip and makes a great cuppa filtered coffee (10 cups), keeps warm for 40 minutes and holds up well. Unfortunately, no timer, so no magic first cuppa coffee in the morning but at this price point, you’re getting a basic machine with limited options.

Tower Scandi T13006G 10-Cup Filter Coffee Maker with Anti-Drip Function, Glass Carafe, Water Gauge, Indicator Light, Anti-Slip Feet, Stylish Scandinavian Design, 900 W, Grey with Wood Accents

We have a couple of items from the tower scandi range now and they’ve been of variable quality and this filter coffee maker isn’t one of the more impressive, at least on first impressions. It’s a very lightweight and plastic-y device that feels a bit cheap when you first unpack it although it seems reasonably robust in use. On the plus side it makes a perfectly decent cup of coffee and keeps it warm for a decent amount of time. There are only three removable (and washable) components to deal with; the jug, the filter cone and the filter itself and they all fit into place easily enough. The filter is a reusable non-metallic mesh and works well but it gets stained brown from the very first time you use it. The cone it sits into has a spring-loaded valve at the bottom that shuts when the jug is removed and stops coffee dripping onto the hot plate. This works really well and i’ve only had one small drip spattering on the hot plate so far but the valve cap is made from plastic that also stains really easily which seems thoughtless since it’s in direct contact with the coffee as it drips through into the jug. The through-flow is quite good and it doesn’t take too along to make a jug full of hot coffee and once made the hot plate keeps it at a good temperature for up to 40 minutes before switching off automatically. This means you avoid stewed coffee and might make it healthier too – i read once that coffee left on a hot plate starts to build up the compounds that cause your cholesterol levels to spike. On that subject, it’s worth knowing that filter coffee made with a paper filter is better than coffee made in a cafetière or similar because the paper filters out more of the natural oils which contain the cholesterol-boosting compounds.

In short this is a no-nonsense machine that does exactly what you’d expect. It looks good, with some nice design touches, and comes in at a very reasonable price. It makes a decent filter coffee (as long as you use decent coffee of course) and nothing else. If you’re after espresso, a milk frother or anything remotely complex then look elsewhere – and at higher price ranges – but if you want a straight-forward filter coffee without the manual effort of a cafetiere then this is likely to meet your needs. Functionality is super easy – fill the water tank as required, put your ground coffee in the filter, and press the button. It immediately starts bubbling away and drip-filling the carafe, creating an amazing scent in the process. It’s fairly quick, brewing up a couple of cups-worth in under five minutes, and it shuts-off automatically. It is a shame that that hot plate is timed to just forty minutes though, personally an hour would’ve been more suited to when i need a second cup but obviously this is subjective. The supplied filter is ok – blocking out 100% of coffee grounds through its fine plastic mesh, and it’s been durable enough in washing so far. All in all i really like this and have been pleasantly surprised at how good it is.
