V-MODA Zn In-Ear Modern Audiophile Headphones : Fantastic earplugs that I use plugged into a DAC and

First impressions are very good indeed. They are light to wear and well balanced. Much lighter than the rha set they are replacing. I have come across phones that have too much bass, but that does not apply here. The detail in the high frequencies is incredible. At some point soon i will try foam tips on these and see what more they can give. Additional info – i had some comply foam tips that fitted these headphones – the sound quality is improved with the extra isolation from the tips. The tips bring more balance in the sound – a touch more bass. Then i have dug out my fiio kilimanjaro2 headphone amplifier out.

First thing to mention is that i don’t regard myself as an audiophile. I’m an old bloke that just like to listen to music. I 50th birthday treat i bought the over ear version (crossfade m100) and love them. My in-ear were a pair of beats. There was nothing wrong with them but kept thinking about buying these. So as my 51st birthday treat i did. And they are lovely as well. A large part of my collection is made up of dance music of varying flavours and these headphones are just like their big brother. Wonderful for listening to it. Nice amount of bass and better clarity than the beats.

Fantastic earplugs that i use plugged into a dac and straight into my samsung s6 phone. The single button works well once you remember what one press/two press etc does. More importantly, they are very comfortable and sound fantastic. A big upgrade over the last pair of nocs i had. The “designer case” is a bit useless, it’s too small to fit anything more than the earplugs in, and is a bit ugly, but that is a minor annoyance.

Audio quality is second to none , these are much better than the rha 20i which i only had for less than a year before the cables disintegrated , so much for paying for so called quality everything about these v moda scream quality , from the sound to the build quality , wish i bought these last time & saved myself 200 quid i have since bought some comply t-500 foam tips for these & they really enhance the audio of these fantastic buds.

Wanted a mid-price in-ear with excellent quality sound, including bass, and a wide range of good tonal clarity. After some research, these appeared to be suggested as one of the best options on the market without going to ‘silly money’. Not disappointed, and they appear well made and have an excellent guarantee. Was also specifically looking for some multi-purpose usage as, in addition to ‘regular’ audio device context, i have also tried them in a band setting with in-ear monitoring. Very pleased with the result.

These are good quality ie’s. A really big soundstage, good bass, nice treble, maybe a little recessed in the mids though. Cable is very tough, but can be annoying sometimes as its sticks out a bit. Fortunately i have a shirt clip from an old pair of denons i used to own which reduces noise travelling up the cable otherwise that would be annoying when moving around etc. The buds are almost too small, they look like they should fall out of my ears but havent done so in the 3 or 4 months of ownership. All in all highly recommended.

I really wanted to be really impressed with these headphones. They work great, have a really good sound quality and have been nice and robust but they just don’t want to sit comfortably in my ears. I got these headphones as a replacement for some schosche in-ears that i was also a big fan of but sadly met the washing machine one too many times – the output still works perfectly to this day but the mic became muffled, which was an issue for me. Washing machine durability aside, for the sound quality of these headphones i couldn’t fault them. They’re a touch light on the bass for my liking but they have a good balance throughout. The issue that i have though is with the way these sit in my ears. Even though i’ve tried them with exactly the same cushions as my scosche headphones these seem to slide out over time and are a tad uncomfortable with the way that they sit on the outer part of the ear. I can only assume that this is the way that they are angled and this is solved by adjusting after a while, it’s just that the way they are naturally placed in the ear gets uncomfortable after a while. The discomfort is tolerable but the fact that they slide out after a while is a tad annoying. This will not likely apply to everyone as ear shapes and sizes differ.

Ive always been very very picky with my headphones. I have a pair of v moda m100 which sound great. I was not so sure earbuds would sound so nice, considering the driver its not big compared to others but man they sound amazing, and the bass is sick.

  • A touch lacking on comfort
  • I am happy but are they worth the price? Id say no , but I’m still unsure £100 would be spot on.

These headphones are good , are they worth the asking price?. For most everyday people no , for some yes , especially someone who is into music on the go and someone wants a pair of headphones that will last long and are durable. They are slightly too sharp in the highs especially when the audio file and quality is suboptimal (but it’s not a painful sharp like some tvs and stuff it’s actually nice break from harsh sharp sounds in everyday life like tvs people’s voices etc tmi i know 🙂 ) , mids are a slightly louder than average but the bass is heavy bassy only if you get some foam earbuds like comply. They aren’t too loud but they are about right i would prefer a slight bit more volume, i might get a high end audio player for these and i will edit and let you know if it gets more out of these headphones than my mobile. High end headphones like these aren’t designed for a mobile phone hence “audiophile”the volume it is lower than i expected , why not take down some of the sharpness (14kz-16kz??. I’m no expert) of the highs , and level out the mids slightly so they are less overpowering on some tracks , keep the bass where it is. This might also feel like an overall increase in volume. I’m not an audiophile i got these mainly because of the durability and the lifetime immortality and to use whilst excercising , biking and running etc. But i just love these , they are unique and if you like gadgets and gizmos you might like these. The cordage looks nice and durable and the speaker housing looks neat and tidy.

These headphones were excellent for earbuds and are super durable. The 45 degree cable is also great as it is able to fit into the more bulky cases like the otterbox defender where i’ve found 90 degree jacks are absolutely no good for them. Obviously you can always go for the standard straight jack but the 45 is meant to reduce strain from either of the other two other extremes. The sound quality from these i would say is quite phenomenal for the price which usually for this sort of quality you can cash out double the amount say from bose or b&o. Yes you can get a much stronger bass from many cheaper headphones however these do very well in the bass department but the major plus for them is the balance that you get from your music which gives you a very clear and crisp sound. With too much bass the sound can become very distorted so i’m glad the designer chose to reduce the bass. A bonus is that they come with an attachment which you can use for running so that the buds stay snug in your ear or at least stay on your ear when jogging.
