Wacaco Nanopresso Portable Espresso Maker : Just about OK with the NS Nespresso pod adapter

Easy to use although you do have to experiment with the amount of coffee required. Do not over fill or it’s very difficult to get the coffee out. Even at home if i need a quick shot its sometimes easier to boil the kettle and use this instead of heating up the coffee machine. I travel and lot and now do not leave home without it. Just need a good hand grinder.

I have had this nanopresso for almost two months now. It is simply a wonderful simple bit of engineering. I also bought the ns capsule adaptor (nespresso) as i was at the time supervising several dofe school trips and camps, and wanted convenience. With either capsules or fresh ground coffee, this espresso maker makes wonderful coffee. I almost always have a thick creamy crema, and when it doesn’t, its because i have pumped too quickly. Its quick and easy to clean and very portable. I make my coffee at work with it every day as well, as the staff filter coffee, just doesnt come near the taste of this, even when using the same ground coffee.

Great little espresso machine that’s portable, easy to use, and (most impotantly) makes a great espresso.

The quality of the materials and construction is good. Pump action is relatively easy although it requires a lot of pumps to empty the water chamber, which seems closer to a double espresso than single but i havent measured it. I bought this to use with the ns adapter for use with nespresso pods. I havent tried ground coffee and this is where it falls down. If i use genuine nespresso pods, as others have noted, it pulverises the pod which results in the grounds going in to the coffee. The amount of ground coffee leaking through is much reduced if i use l’or pods, but i prefer the flavour from genuine pods. I wanted to make coffee, mess free, when camping. Unfortunately it’s not really mess free either, so it’s a mixed bag. It’s just about ok, hence 3 stars. It’s possibly the ns adapter that is at fault, but either way i bought it as a travel nespresso maker.

The wacaco nanopresso turns out a professional looking and tasting espresso that i would defy any costa or starbucks barista to challenge. The long lasting crema produced is sensational. Happy to recommend this product to others.

Makes very good coffee but stopped working efficiently after less than a month of daily use. May be useful fro occasional use but not as a regular expresso machine.

Great really portable coffee maker, that makes a great coffee. Can be a little bit of a faff to clean and takes a bit of effort to make a coffee but we’ll worth the effort and small enough to take anywhere.

It’s better than i expected. Everything you need is in the kit. A cup, a brush and a little bag for transportation. The measuring spoon is used as the tamper. It’s very easy to handle and to clean. I use a very fine grinding degree. I suggest to run it once with hot water before using. So the temperature of your espresso will be perfect.
